What is FindMePic?

FindMePic is an AI-powered platform that helps event organizers deliver photos to attendees. You upload event photos, share a link or QR code, and attendees take a selfie to instantly find every photo they appear in. No app download, no account creation — it works entirely in the browser.

Who is FindMePic for?

Anyone who takes photos at events. Wedding photographers, corporate event organizers, festival teams, school event coordinators, sports photographers, and more. If you have event photos and want attendees to easily find themselves, FindMePic is for you.

How does the facial recognition work?

When you upload event photos, our AI (powered by AWS Rekognition) detects every face and creates a mathematical vector — not a stored image. When an attendee takes a selfie, we compare their vector against indexed faces and return matches ranked by confidence score. The entire process takes under 3 seconds.

How accurate is the matching?

AWS Rekognition achieves 99%+ accuracy in controlled conditions. In real-world event photos, typical match accuracy is 85–95%. We show a confidence score on each result so attendees know how strong the match is. The AI handles crowds, groups, low light, and even partial profiles.

What types of events does FindMePic work for?

Any event with photos: weddings, corporate conferences, festivals, parties, school events, sports days, graduations, galas, fundraisers, trade shows, and more. The system handles any event size, from 50 photos to 50,000+.

Privacy & GDPR

Is FindMePic GDPR compliant?

Yes, by design. Selfies are processed in real-time and immediately discarded — they're never stored. Attendee emails are cryptographically hashed (SHA-256) before storage. All data is hosted in the EU (AWS eu-west-1, Ireland). We provide a self-service data deletion form on our privacy page.

Are selfies stored?

No. Selfies are processed in-memory during the search request and immediately discarded. They never touch a database or file storage. Only the mathematical face vector is compared temporarily — then that's discarded too.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored in AWS eu-west-1 (Ireland). Photos are stored in Amazon S3, face vectors in Amazon Rekognition collections, and metadata in a PostgreSQL database — all within the EU. No data leaves the EU.

Can attendees delete their data?

Yes. Attendees can visit our privacy page and submit a data deletion request at any time. Organizers can also manage and delete event data from their dashboard. We don't hold data hostage — you own it, you control it.

What data do you collect from attendees?

Minimal data by design. If an attendee uses the selfie search, their selfie is processed and immediately discarded. If they choose to email photos to themselves, their email is hashed before storage. We log anonymous search counts for analytics but never link searches to individuals.

Pricing & Credits

What's a credit?

Credits are our simple usage unit. Uploading a photo costs 1 credit (covers AI processing). Each attendee selfie search costs 1 credit. That's it — no per-face charges, no hidden multipliers.

How many free credits do I get?

Every new account receives 75 free credits on signup. No credit card required. That's enough for a small event — for example, 50 photos + 25 searches.

Do credits expire?

On the Free and Pay As You Go plans, credits never expire. On the Pro plan, your 1,000 monthly included credits reset each billing cycle, but any extra credits you purchase separately never expire.

What happens when I run out of credits?

You'll be notified when credits are low. On any plan, you can purchase additional credit packs at €0.02 per credit. Your events stay online — attendees just won't be able to search until you top up.

What are the pricing plans?

We offer three plans: Free (75 credits, 1 event), Pay As You Go (buy credit packs from €0.02/credit, unlimited events), and Pro (€19/month with 1,000 credits/month, custom branding, API access, and priority support). No contracts on any plan.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. Switch between plans at any time. Upgrading from Free to Pro mid-month charges a prorated amount. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No penalties or hidden fees.

Do I need a credit card for the free plan?

No. The Free plan requires no payment information at all. Just sign up with your email and you're ready to go.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as iDEAL, Bancontact, and SEPA direct debit through our payment processor Stripe.

Can I get a refund on purchased credits?

Unused credit packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, as required by EU consumer protection law. Once credits are consumed, they cannot be refunded.

For Organizers

How do I create an event?

Sign up for a free account, click 'Create Event' on your dashboard, give it a name, and start uploading photos. Our AI processes each photo in the background — you'll see face counts appear as processing completes.

What photo formats can I upload?

We accept JPG, JPEG, PNG, and HEIC formats. Each file can be up to 50MB. You can drag and drop individual files or upload in bulk.

How do I share my event with attendees?

Every event gets a unique URL (findmepic.com/e/your-event) and an auto-generated QR code. Print the QR code on a poster at your venue, include it in event programs, display it on screens, or share the link via WhatsApp, email, or social media.

Can I customize the event page?

Yes. On the Pro plan you can upload a custom logo, choose gallery themes with different colors and layouts, add photo watermarks with adjustable position and opacity, and remove FindMePic branding for a fully white-label experience.

What are sub-events?

Sub-events let you organize photos by session within a single event. Perfect for multi-day conferences, wedding weekends, or festivals with different stages. Attendees can browse by sub-event or search across all photos at once.

What happens to photos after the event?

Your photos stay as long as your account is active. You control when to delete them from your dashboard. We don't auto-delete your content — you paid for the upload credits, the photos are yours to manage.

Can I use FindMePic for large events (1,000+ photos)?

Absolutely. Photos are processed in parallel via our background job queue. Whether you upload 50 or 50,000 photos, the system scales. Face indexing happens in the background so you don't have to wait.

Is there an API?

Yes. Pro plan users get access to a full REST API with endpoints for listing events, uploading photos, triggering processing, and running selfie searches. API keys are managed from the dashboard with per-key rate limiting (100 req/min).

Can I embed FindMePic on my own website?

Yes. Pro plan users can embed the search widget on any website using a single iframe snippet. Configure allowed domains, themes, and branding from the dashboard.

For Attendees

Do I need an account to find my photos?

No. Attendees don't need an account, don't need to download an app, and don't need to pre-register their face. Just open the event link, take a selfie, and see your matches. It works entirely in the browser.

How do I find my photos?

Open the event link (from a QR code, text, or email). Your phone camera opens. Take a quick selfie. Within seconds, every photo you appear in shows up, ranked by match confidence. Download individual photos or get them all emailed to you.

Is my selfie stored?

No. Your selfie is processed in real-time to find matching photos, then immediately discarded. It's never saved to any database or storage.

Can I download my photos?

Yes. You can download individual photos with one click, or download all your matched photos as a zip file. You can also tap 'Email my photos' to receive download links that work for 7 days.

What devices are supported?

FindMePic works in any modern browser on any device — iPhone, Android, tablet, or desktop. No app installation needed. Just open the link and your camera is ready.

Technical

What technology powers the face matching?

AWS Rekognition, one of the most accurate facial recognition engines available. It detects faces in crowds, groups, low light, and partial profiles. Matching works by comparing mathematical face vectors, not pixel-by-pixel comparison.

How fast is the search?

Under 3 seconds from selfie to results. The selfie is sent to our API, compared against all indexed face vectors using AWS Rekognition, and results are returned ranked by confidence — all in real-time with no polling or background processing.

How are photos stored securely?

Photos are stored in Amazon S3 with server-side encryption. All access URLs are presigned and time-limited — they expire after a set period. There are no permanent public URLs to your photos.

What happens if photo processing fails?

If a photo fails to process (e.g., no faces detected, file corruption), it's flagged in your dashboard with a clear error message. You can retry processing with one click. Failed photos don't consume credits.
